Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern use of ContainerHousesCanada.ca. A product purchase or project is governed by the written quotation, invoice, accepted specifications, payment schedule and other order documents issued for that transaction, together with rights and obligations that apply under law.

1. About these Terms

This website is operated by Container Houses Canada Inc. References to “CHC,” “Container Houses Canada,” “we,” “us” or “our” mean Container Houses Canada Inc. These Terms apply when you browse the website, request information, submit a quotation request, use a planning tool or otherwise interact with our online services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived.

2. Website Information and Quotations

Website descriptions, photographs, floor plans, dimensions, features, prices, estimated timelines and other content are provided for information and project planning. Models, options, supplier specifications, transportation conditions and regulatory requirements can change.

A website page, calculator result, planning-tool result or quotation request is not by itself a final purchase contract. The actual model, options, specifications, price, included services, payment stages and delivery scope must be confirmed in the written documents for the order.

3. Orders and Written Contract Information

An order proceeds only after the required written documents have been accepted and the applicable payment or deposit stage stated in those documents has been completed. Customers should keep copies of quotations, invoices, approved specifications, payment confirmations and accepted changes.

Where consumer-protection rules for a distance contract apply, required information and copies of the contract will be provided as required by applicable law. The general process is described on our Step by Step Order Process page.

4. Prices and Fees

A price shown on the website is not guaranteed for a specific project unless confirmed in a valid written quotation or contract. Any mandatory charge known and applicable to the transaction should be identified in the project documents. Government-imposed taxes, duties or other third-party amounts that cannot reasonably be calculated in advance may be identified separately where permitted by law.

Customer-requested changes after a quotation or specification approval may require revised pricing, timing or logistics.

5. Deposits and Payments

The required deposit and later payment milestones are those stated in the written quotation, invoice or order documents for the particular transaction. Do not rely on a generic website percentage if the written project documents state a different schedule.

6. Customization and Specifications

For customized or made-to-order units, the customer is responsible for reviewing and approving the model, layout, selected options and other specifications shown in the final project documents before production is released.

Changes requested after approval or after production has begun may be unavailable or may affect price, production timing, transportation requirements or delivery.

7. Production and Timing

Production, inspection, shipping and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Manufacturing schedules, customer changes, supplier availability, vessel schedules, weather, port operations, customs processing, inland transportation and events outside reasonable control may affect timing.

When a material timing change becomes known, CHC will use reasonable efforts to provide updated project information.

8. Transportation and Delivery

The transportation and delivery scope is determined by the written quotation and project documents. Depending on the order, responsibilities may include international transport, customs documentation, inland transport, unloading, crane or lifting services, temporary storage, site access or other logistics.

The customer must review the confirmed scope and prepare the property for work that is not expressly included. See On Site Delivery for general preparation guidance.

9. Property, Permits and Local Requirements

Zoning, setbacks, permits, foundations, utility connections, site preparation and permitted use vary by municipality and project. Unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise, the customer is responsible for confirming that the property and intended project satisfy applicable requirements.

10. Images, Dimensions and Product Information

Images may show optional features, staged interiors, colours, furnishings, landscaping or accessories that are not included in a standard model. Screen colours and renderings can differ from finished materials.

Dimensions and technical information should be treated as general until confirmed in the final approved specifications for the order. The written project specifications control over a conflicting general website description.

11. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Cancellation, return and refund rights depend on the type of transaction, the production stage, customization, the accepted order documents and applicable law. No blanket website statement overrides a mandatory statutory right.

Where Québec distance-contract rules or other consumer-protection rules apply, customers retain the cancellation and reimbursement remedies available to them under those rules. Contact CHC promptly if you believe an order needs to be changed or cancelled.

12. Warranty

Any product warranty is governed by the written warranty documentation applicable to the purchased unit and by rights that apply under law. General website information does not expand, replace or reduce a written warranty or a mandatory legal warranty.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original text, branding, logos, photographs, graphics, layouts and downloadable materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Container Houses Canada Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and print reasonable portions for personal project planning. You may not republish, sell, misrepresent or commercially exploit protected site content without permission or another lawful basis.

14. Acceptable Website Use

You must not use the website to commit fraud, impersonate another person, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, unlawfully collect personal information or intentionally disrupt the website or its services.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may link to independent manufacturers, carriers, financial institutions, maps, videos or other third-party resources. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not make CHC responsible for an independent third party’s website or conduct.

16. Privacy and Communications

Personal information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Transactional communications may be used to answer inquiries, prepare quotations, coordinate orders, provide project updates and support customers.

17. Website Availability and Liability

CHC works to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, CHC is not responsible for losses caused solely by temporary website outages, independent third-party service failures, malicious third-party activity or reliance on general website information that was not confirmed in the written project documents.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

18. Changes to Website Terms

These website Terms may be updated when services, website features or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current published version. A later website update does not retroactively replace accepted commercial documents for an existing order unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise.
